  1. What information do I need in order to sign up with NobelTalk? When you sign up with Nobeltalk we need the following information:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Social security number
    • Phone number
    • Contact number different than the phone number
    • Email address
  2. Do I need to notify my phone company/cancel my current plan to use NobelTalk?No. Because you use NobelTalk via a toll free access number or local access number, you do not need to notify your phone company of your choice to use NobelTalk, nor do you have to cancel your current long distance carrier. NobelTalk provides a separate service from your current phone plan.
  3. Do I need international access in order to use this service?No. You can use NobelTalk from any phone that allows you to dial locally or a 1-800 number
  4. Can I use NobelTalk from an unregistered phone number?Yes. Simply dial the access number, enter your authorization code (PIN), and when prompted, dial your destination number.
  5. Can I place consecutive calls with NobelTalk without dialing the Access Number each time?Yes. After your first call is completed, press ** and a prompt will ask you to enter the next number you want to dial.
  6. How do I use NobelTalk's Service?If you are calling from a registered phone number dial a local access number in your area or 1-800-409-1300, then enter your destination number.If you are placing a call from an unregistered phone number (outside your home, hotel, friend's house, your work) dial a local access number in your area or 1-800-409-1400, enter your authorization code (PIN), enter your destination number. Please note that if you call the 1-800 number once cent extra per minute applies.
  7. How many phone numbers can I register with NobelTalk?On Postpaid you can register as many phone numbers as you want, and you will receive one bill for all of them. On Prepaid you can register up to 6 phone numbers.
  8. What do I do if I misdialed?If you misdialed or the call didn't go through, you can press ** and you will be prompted to re-enter your destination number.
  9. Are there any hidden charges, surcharges, connection fees or other additional fees?May apply on some calls. Please call Customer Service at 1-800-961-6623 for details.
  10. Do I need to enter an authorization code (PIN) when placing a call from my cell phone?Some cell phones are not detected by the NobelTalk system and may require that you enter a PIN in order to make your phone call. Most cell phones, however, allow you to complete your call without entering a PIN, as long as the number is registered on your account.
  11. How long after I sign up do I have to wait for the NobelTalk service to be activated?The NobelTalk service will be activated within 24 business hours of you signing up.
  12. Can my roommate and I use the same service?Yes. Unless you want to split the phone bill, in which case you will need to use separate PIN numbers to avoid any confusion with your phone bills.
  13. How often do I get billed?You will receive a bill once a month. We bill you for your usage from the first of the month until the last day of the month.
  14. What is the due date for the bills?The due date for each bill is on the 25th of the following month.
  15. Are the rates for calling cell phones and land-lines the same?No. In most international countries, a surcharge is applied when calling to cellular phones. This additional charge results in rate increases. However, calls to domestic cell phones are the same rate as calls to land-lines.
  16. Do I receive only one bill for all of my registered phone numbers?Yes. With NobelTalk, you will receive only one bill for all of your registered phone numbers.
  17. Can I pay my bills automatically?Yes. With NobelTalk you can enable the Automatic Payment option. Between the 5th and the 10th of every month the credit card you have on file and which you agreed to use for automatic payment will be charged for the amount due on your previous invoice.
  18. Can I call from abroad with NobelTalk?Yes. NobelTalk Prepaid allows you to do that.With the Prepaid service that NobelTalk offers, you can call from over 150 countries back to the US or any other countries you choose.
  19. How will I receive my bill?NobelTalk mails all the bills, but you can choose to receive your bill by email instead, which saves time as you receive it in the first 5 business days and it is also eco-friendly. You can view your bill details on the account online as well.
  20. Do I have an online account?Yes, for both Postpaid and Prepaid products. You receive your credentials upon sign up.
  21. What is my default password for the online account?For Postpaid your username is your account number and the default password will be your main contact phone number. For Prepaid your username is your e-mail address and your default password is your main contact phone as well.
  22. Can I make a call from my cell phone?Yes. You can use both Postpaid and Prepaid to do so without additional charges.
  23. Should I use the # key after I dial the destination number?No, simply wait on the line and NobelTalk will connect your call. Please take note that for some wireless service providers, the pound key (#) disconnects the call through Nobel Talk and activates another line through which your wireless service connects the call for you directly. In such cases, NobelTalk is not responsible for any charges that may accumulate onto your cell phone bill.
